My present research focuses on systems study of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters in Myxococcus xanthus. This study combines methods of bioinformatics, genetics, molecular biology and biostatistics. We study the population genetics of bacterial strains, each with mutation in one open reading frame. We aim to decipher the phenotypes contributing to multicellularity and partially address the "genotype to phenotype" problem.
